Day 5 / 6 Sunday 3rd June Sunday was the big day at Radisson Suite's Camp Splash with shar^kie shooting the promotional video for the Camp. 9am and lots of kids and sunshine! The hotel guests as well as a few locals joined in the fun and it was definitely "fun in the sun" for the kids. Scott had an absolute fantastic time with his new friends and some old ones from previous visits. Koala was kept busy with her digital camera as well and filming went way into the afternoon. Shar^kie had to head off to film a banquet room at the main Radisson Hotel and he returned just in time as Ketut,Wayan & family from Toot_sies arrived to take us all to the forum bar get together. We arrived in time and it was a good gathering. Great to see some new faces but well known names (too scared to name them all in case I leave one out)...and all were lovely,friendly people and we sat well into dark. Even Andy01 and Jan arrived literally straight off the plane.The beach went from busy to empty but the forumites stayed on a little longer. Scott was excited to meet Toby and Emmerson, Tony & Jo's (from Qld) two little onee and they played in the sand. As the forum gathering dispersed,we waved goodbye to Sammy and Susie and a small group of us- Andy,Jan,Tony, Jo,shar^kie,Koala and kids in tow went to clean up a little at Tony and Jo's bungalow and then out for dinner. We all got on like a house on fire,and we had a lot of fun with the locals . Andy and Jan needed to change some money so we all piled in and outside the money changers and I'm sure no one would even attempt to cheat them for money with so many of us watching hehehe. We had dinner at Orchid Garden in Melasti Street Legian and it was lovely food at great prices.A few drinks,some good food and a few photos and lots of chat, we all finally went our seperate ways with plans on a swim at our hotel, lunch on the beach in Sanur and then a visit to Toot_sies the next day.
Monday 4th June.
Pizza's @ 18,000Rp ea It was 3pm by this time, and shar^kie was required back at the Radisson Hotel for a quick film shoot so he and Tony headed off whilst Andy and Jan went off to the Segara Village Hotel to check rooms for family members. Jo,Koala and kids went onto Toot_sies just round the corner from the restaurant. As always Ketut and Made welcomed us and we bought a few shirts,shorts,shoes etc..and eventually Andy,Jan,Tony and shar^kie all turned up. Scott and Toby happily played with Putu (Ketut's daughter) and other local kids around the market area. With all our purchases finalised, we took a few group photos. shar^kie and Jo took the kids back to the Radisson suites for a swim whilst Tony took Koala, Andy and Jan in his hire car to Makro for some supplies. Bintangs,water,spices and lots of lollies were bought and then we headed back to the hotel . By this time it was dark,and the kids dried off and everyone left for their own hotels saying what a great time we had all had. It was fun and to think the Bali Travel forum brought us all together. I am sure many other forumites will agree many friendships have been made and it is even more fun when we get together in Bali to enjoy ourselves.
